Meditation: Space for You

Looking for a little space just for you? Look no further - it's here within you. In this meditation, cultivate friendliness toward yourself, compassionate awareness that sees yourself as you are.

This meditation was recorded live during one of our weekly community calls with Flourish and Bloom Collective, a cozy online space for mindfulness and personal growth.

 
 

Welcome yourself into this quiet moment, this time of being here with yourself.

Invite your body to make its way to a place of ease as you rest down and back into your chair, each breath bringing more and more of your presence and experiencing into this moment and then beginning to explore what's occurring here within you.

Fill this interior space of the body with your compassionate awareness, just wanting to see to know how things are within your body right now.

With this loving gaze, just visiting and seeing where there is comfort, seeing where there's pain or tightness.

With each breath that arrives, inviting it in as if it were a cooling wave that invites a little more spaciousness into the body. This breath makes its way down through the body as if it were trickling through. soothing and calming as it goes.

Visiting in with the mind and heart, seeing what is stirring here. Curious and caring, like the kind of friend that would say “how are you really” with the patience to simply hold space.

Offer yourself this space and time to dwell within. Perhaps there's a conversation that goes on, about what you're feeling or what you're needing. Or perhaps you’re simply spending time here with yourself in an easy quiet way, as if in the comforting presence of an old friend.

Offering a quiet movement of appreciation for your own kind presence, appreciation for the way that you create space for yourself, as you hold space for the you of the past, of the present with all that is occurring, and of the future you that you are becoming.
